Rest Stop

Dear Visitor,

Beneath soft-leaved limbs,
Seek refuge.

Ants hurry, jays shriek–
In cool shadows, shiver.

Unseen, she whispers,
She who planted me,
Singing all visitors to sleep.

Thank you for your beautiful poem and the sharing of it. I am touched by its branching fingers and sweet references. I’ve always loved your poetry. Scintillating photography as well.
